Coverage grows where families actually ask for it, not wherever a page could be generated.
Where things stand today
California, researched
In-Home Supportive Services, Paid Family Leave and the state energy assistance program have each been read from the official source and dated. That is why the home page can quote what California actually says about paying a family member, rather than describing it vaguely.
Everywhere, the federal programs
Medicare Savings Programs and VA Aid and Attendance are federal, so the check runs them wherever you live. The Medicare Savings Programs are administered by your state, which is also why the income rules are not identical everywhere.
Other states, honestly not yet
If your ZIP code is outside California, the check will tell you plainly that we have not verified state programs for your area. You will still get the federal ones.
This is worth being precise about. "We have not verified your county" is a statement about us. "There is no help available" is a statement about you. We will only ever make the first one, because the second is almost certainly false and would stop somebody looking.
Why not just cover everything now
Because covering everything now would mean covering it badly. Fifty state pages with the nouns swapped is the content farm signature: it looks like coverage, ranks for a while, and contains nothing anyone can act on. Worse, in this category it puts unverified eligibility claims in front of people who will act on them.
So the order is: research a state properly, verify it, date it, then say we cover it. Research once, reuse forever. A rule looked up once serves every family that asks afterwards, which means coverage compounds instead of decaying.
How we choose what to research next
Demand decides. Where families arrive and we have nothing verified, that gap becomes the research queue, in the order the demand actually appeared. We are not guessing which state matters next, and we are not expanding into a state because a domain would rank there.
